What To Write On Hens Card

Shipyard (3rd and last part) Mount

Fixing the bowsprit.

I salvaged items from the original boat as I readjusted on pieces of wood suitable for my comp.
The lifeline of the pound was bought in store model because there are few tricks that render son or something much rope. In total, I must also clarify that with all the little extras (string, son of different sizes, anchor ...) store-bought this comp came back quite expensive

Here, all the guys, loose at the foot of the mast. The link to the chain plates was easy enough, the tension of all that can be done quite easily with the proliferation of caps separations . For cons, I have not gassed by not doing all my habits in the interior of the boat, much less visible. I was too lazy to try again. The final voltage
e been assured by the bowsprit was before related, he even held below by a string. All

masts, balms, yards were made in sections round rods of different diameters purchased Leroy Merlin . These parts
masts were progressively refined using sandpaper thick mounted on my Dremel mini .
These steps were repeated and long enough to achieve something really visible (nothing worse than these massive poles, planted like trunks of baobabs).

Sails:

I bought an old cotton pillowcase end Emmaus order to make the sails. After
cut paper stencils, I cut pieces of fabric and stitching makes the machines. All sails were then stained with strong tea. No hemming, I coated wood glue the edges of the sails, which also had the advantage of "lock" seams machines.
Again, another mistake, I was wrong about the meaning of the mainsail and the seams were left horizontal instead of being vertical, as for the other sails.
No time again to Bordeaux, we will see later (or not!).

All sails are removable, using small hooks made of wire or loops attached to the existing. So I can represent my boat at anchor or under sail.

The -of-living mule was made of wire, an open ring that comes crashing through two holes in alignment with the balm. After
yards, I put some rings that were designed to accommodate the studding ... I do not know if I ever will.

I also directed a panel of national flags and flags on paper soaked in wood glue to give them beautiful forms corrugated and solid (after drying). The national flag will start at the rear, the flag, signaling the masthead (we had developed a secret code between French, for our battle to prevent telescoping, etc.).

as you can see, a lot of mistakes on this site and a boat not quite finished (no anchors, no bonnets, many missing ropes ... but it must still playable.
The last gag was when I put the guns in place ... some tubes did not pass through the ports. Fortunately not all been assembled in the same way, by interchanging , I was able out. ... That
I certainly forgot to explain lots of things ... please ask for details.

Here are some details cutter, finished with and without its crew.
I let you enjoy.
The white flag is the French navy until the revolution when he becomes our current tricolor.

I have spent between 120 and 150 hours on this model.
I also wonder if it is not easy to create more directly rather than modifying an existing model. In any case, without the shell base, I do probably will not start in this adventure that has occupied all my free time for five weeks. I had great fun doing this boat even though I almost got discouraged at the end seeing that I was committing more mistakes.
encouragement and feedback I have the option of the building (thank you Stephen) and when I exhibited at Bordeaux are proof that patience and paying attention to detail, and are recognized.
Thank you all. Nicolas
